PLAYA VENTURA: A NEW DEVELOPMENT ON THE MEXICAN PACIFIC COAST.
You can take a bus from the Taxqueña station in Mexico City, of fly to Acapulco, which is only a two-hour drive from here. From the airport you can hire a taxi to bring you or rent a car and drive yourself. Playa Ventura is south of Acapulco at kilometer 124 on the highway to Pinotepa Nacional and Puerto Escondido.

Playa Ventura is in the State of Guerrero, Municipality of Copala on the Pacific coast. The region is tropical and the weather is warm year-round.

Playa Ventura is a fishing village. The cristaline waters of the Pacific sparkle in the rays of the setting sun. Walk along the wet sand and watch the pelicans diving beyond the breaking waves. If you look at the horizon for a while, you may see whales surfacing. Porpoises can often be seen cavorting not far from the water's edge and sea turtles come in at certain times of the year to lay their eggs in protected areas of the beach.

Among the different things to do are horse or burro riding on the beach, exploring a huge cave nearby on the Casa de Piedra bay, fishing, surfing, kayaking on the lagoon and watching the enormous variety of birds in the mangroves. The beach is clean and only a step from our terrace. Just a short walk down the beach there are several restaurants. Come and spend a day or a lifetime in this place where the word stress is unknown.

Playa Ventura has telephone and Internet service, a health center capable of handling any medical emergency, and security. Also closeby are grocery stores, with plentiful fresh fruit and vegetables. Taxi service is also available.
The nearby towns boast drugstores and doctors as well as lovely places for a visit such as Playa Mata De Mangle, Las Peñitas, La Bocana, Las Peñas and Barra de Tecuanapa.
